Today my post is music related (of course), but also something interesting, sad and debatable. Was Kurt Cobain's death a murder, or suicide?
Personally, I think that his death was due to murder, so I'm going to discuss the reasons why:
1) Impossible due to Overdose
Kurt had overdosed on 3 times the lethal dose of heroin. With one dose, this can be lethal, let alone 3. So, how could Kurt have reached out for a gun? Scientists say this is physically impossible, and he wouldn't have even been able to lift his head.
2) No Fingerprints
Another huge giveaway is that there was no fingerprints left on absolutely anything. When the gun was examined, there were no fingerprints suggesting that it had been cleaned or wiped. Not only this, but there were no fingerprints found on the pen used to write the suicide note, and no fingerprints found on the box of shotgun shells.
3) Handwriting Practise Note
Found in Courtney Love's bag was a handwriting practise sheet to copy Kurt's writing, pretty much proving that she could have easily forged his suicide note.
4) Money for Murder
Eldon Hoke, the singer of a band called the Mentors, claimed he was offered $50,000 by Courtney Love three months earlier to kill her husband. He also completely passed a lie detector test by a result of 99.7% certainty that he was telling the truth.5) No Behavioural Pattern for Suicide
A number of Kurt's close friends said that he was "not atall suicidal", "upbeat", and that he had claimed only a few days before that he was "the happiest he'd ever been in all his life".
