Coldplay at Glastonbury

Hello,

So this past weekend consisted of the amazing Glastonbury Festival taking place. I unfortunately was not there (hopefully will be in the upcoming years), and I did not catch much of it on TV, although I did manage to watch all of the closing performance which was Coldplay.

I wasn't too sure what to expect as Coldplay's recent albums haven't been as great as their old stuff and they have had a change of style, but I am extremely pleased I managed to watch the performance live. Every song was flawless, the atmosphere looking amazing, the effects were brilliant, and their tributes/guests also contributed towards the magical concert.

Coldplay say they aren't doing any other albums or tours after this one, but what do you think?

Music Updates of the Week

Hello,

I haven't posted for a while, but I am joining college in September for a music course and I thought that now would be the perfect opportunity to start my blog up again.

I thought that I would start something new, 'Music Updates of the Week', to let people know has happened/is going to happen this week music wise, and this week there is a lot going on!

OASIS

This isn't really this week but it has been recently announced that a film/documentary will be released on Oasis called Supersonic, and the release date. It's going to be one to watch.
Also, Liam Gallagher went on another rage on Twitter, needless to say it was interesting to watch!

STEREOPHONICS

Within the last week, Stereophonics finally went back to Cardiff and played at the stadium. It looked like an amazing gig, especially since it was in Wales where they come from!

NOEL GALLAGHER'S HIGH FLYING BIRDS

A London date was announced a couple of days ago concluding Noel's gigs for this year, which will be held at Brixton Academy. The tickets will be hard to grab, but they're on sale to the public Friday.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

The news that every RHCP fan wants to hear is that the new album is being released this Friday. We are all incredibly excited to see what they're going to bring after 5 long years of waiting.
Not only this, but they did a carpool with James Cordon, and it was absolutely hilarious. Definitely one to check out on Youtube.

GUNS N' ROSES

Recently Guns N'Roses have been announcing more tour dates, and we are hoping that they'll come to the UK. At the moment, only USA gigs have been announced, but it is all very exciting stuff.

STEVEN TYLER

This week, Steven Tyler announced that he is bringing out his first solo album, and apparently it's going to be country rock. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing what he's going to bring, possibly followed by an Aerosmith last tour in 2017.

COLDPLAY

A couple of nights ago, Coldplay played at Manchester's main stadium, and the videos had millions of shares by people who were there, and people who weren't. It looked amazing and went viral!

RICHARD ASHCROFT

Very recently (not this week but it needs to be said), Richard Ashcroft released a new solo album. I've listened to a few of the songs so far and they seem okay, but hopefully the rest of the album will be a little better. Definitely need to read some other opinions.

AC/DC

You either love it or hate it, but Axl Rose has played a few gigs with AC/DC this week. Personally, I think they look great, but it has been announced that Brian Johnson will be returning (which is even better!)

So there you have it, music updates of the week and some very exciting ones. Keep an eye out for next weeks updates.
