The Best Covers

Hello,

Today I am going to share some of the best songs which have been covered by others. Don't worry- It's not Kanye West singing Bohemian Rhapsody.

Oasis' Cover of 'I Am The Walrus' by The Beatles

You might love it, you might hate it, but it's one of my favourites. I think Liam's voice suits this song well, and Oasis were hugely inspired by The Beatles, so to me it's a great cover of a fantastic song.

Kurt Cobain's Cover of 'The Man Who Sold The World' by David Bowie

Following David Bowie's tragic recent death, this song has to be included in this list. The original song is absolutely fantastic, however Kurt Cobain covered this in 1993 at the extremely famous MTV Unplugged gig. It's brilliant and definitely worth a listen, featuring Kurt's unbeatable vocals.

Stereophonics' Cover of 'You Sexy Thing' by Hot Chocolate

This is an excellent cover of Hot Chocolate's 'You Sexy Thing', a song which everyone knows and feels the need to dance to. Kelly Jones' voice completely suits the track and makes it sound as original as before.

Paul Weller's Cover of 'Early Morning Rain' by Gordon Lightfoot

I think that I've definitely mentioned this song several times before- However, it is amazing. It's the kind of song I'd set my alarm as and instead of turning it off, lay there and listen to it several times. It is simply beautiful and despite there being many covers of this song, Paul Weller's is my favourite.

Aerosmith's Cover of 'Come Together' by The Beatles

Another track by 'The Beatles', although so many bands have covered their songs! Aerosmith covered the well-known song 'Come Together', and it is definitely worth a listen. The link is below.

So there you have it, 5 songs which I think have been covered excellently. My next article should be about the most mental concerts in history (I'm sure The Prodigy will be somewhere on that list).
